The Impact Circle provides funding to charities and not-for-profit organisations that are creating meaningful and measurable change in our Australian Community.

We welcome applications from organisations working across a broad range of social issues, including but not limited to:

At The Impact Circle, we are committed to funding organisations that can demonstrate genuine social impact and effective use of resources within a specified program or initiative.

We seek applications that:

• Address a clearly identified community need
• Deliver meaningful outcomes for beneficiaries
• Demonstrate measurable impact
• Show strong leadership and organisational capability
• Use evidence-based approaches
• That have a designated program / project with a  specific time frame.

We encourage applicants to clearly articulate:

The Issue – What problem are you addressing?

The Participants – Who will benefit and how many people will be impacted?

The Activities – What actions, services or programs will be delivered?

The Outcomes – What changes will occur for participants?

The Impact – What long-term difference will be created?

Measurement & Evaluation – How will success be monitored and reported?

We value organisations that continuously evaluate and improve their work to maximise positive outcomes for the communities they serve.

To be eligible for funding, applicants must:

• Be a registered Australian charity or not-for-profit organisation
• Hold appropriate Australian charity and taxation registrations
• Have Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status or be auspiced by an eligible DGR organisation
• Demonstrate sound governance and financial management practices
• Have a proven track record of delivering services, programs or projects
• Operate within Australia

The Impact Circle reserves the right to determine eligibility and request additional information where required.

Grant funding must be directed towards activites that clearly align with the proposed project, program or organizational outcomes described in the application.

Funding may be used for:

• Program delivery and expansion
• Staffing directly related to project delivery
• Training and capability development
• Equiptment and resources required for service delivery
• Community engagement and outreach activities
• Innovation and growth activities

Applicants must provide a clear budget demonstrating how grant funds will be used and the outcomes expected.

Funding will generally not be provided for:

• Debt reduction or operational deficits
• Political activites or campaigns
• Purely religious activities
• Retrospective funding for completed projects
• Expenses unrelated to the stated purpose of the grant

The Impact Circle conducts an application and granting process based on a financial year calendar.

Expressions of Interest (EOI)s for a specified financial years grant, will be receieved from the 1st July of said financial year. All EOIs recieved prior to this date, will not be considered.

EOIs can be received until 31st December of that same financial year. All EOIs recieved after this date, will not be considered.

The Impact Circle grants commitee will then create a shortlist of 10 applicants. These applicants will be finalised by 28th February each financial year.

Of these 10 shortlisted applicants, the grants commitee will then evaluate and condense this list to a final selection of four organisations. This is done via researching, modelling outcomes and – where deemed necessary - visiting applicants physical premises or operational areas.

Each finalist will be informed of the decision by 31st March. The four successful finalists will then create a presentation to be provided to The Impact Circle members. These presentations must be provided to the Impact Circle no later than 31st April.

These presentations will be provided to the members of the Impact Circle by 31st May. Members have one month to consider the presentations and request any additional information from The Impact Circle grants commitee.

Voting will commence on the 1st July in Financial Year 2, will the succesful applicant being selected by 31st July.

Applications should be provided email during the grant round.

Applicants are asked to provide information including:

• Organisation details and contact information
• Description of the issue being addressed
• Details of the proposed program, project or initiative
• Number and profile of beneficiaries
• Expected outcomes and impact measures
• Project timeline and budget
• Funding request and intended use of grant funds
• Organisational partnerships and collaborations

Shortlisted organisations may be invited to participate in interviews, site visits or presentations as part of the assessment process.

Final funding decisions are made following review by The Impact Circle's Grants Committee and members.

Applicants may be requested to provide supporting documentation including:

• Most recent annual report
• Recent audited or reviewed financial statements
• Evidence of charity registration and DGR status (where applicable)
• Strategic plans or program information
• Evaluation reports or impact data
• Additional documents relevant to the application
